中国・江蘇(こうそ)省にあるショッピングモールで、38歳の男性が恋人の女性と喧嘩をし、ショッピングモールの7階から1階に飛び降りたと海外ニュースサイト『The World』が2013年12月に報じた。同記事によると、2人は一緒にショッピングモールに訪れたが、男性は、女性が長時間買い物をしていることに腹を立て、女性に文句を言ったという。

　2人は口論になったが、口論を始めてすぐ、男性は7階の吹き抜けから飛び降りた。男性の体は1階に叩きつけられ、即死した。男性の他にけが人はいなかった。

　口論を始めた本人が自ら命を断とうとする、解せない人間の心理が関わる事件が世界では起きているようだ。
