　米隕石協会のロバート・ランズフォード氏によると、隕石の音が聞かれるのは珍しいことではないという。

　それでも今回のものは、普通より大きかった可能性があるとのこと。「普通の流星は豆粒程度のものですが、今回のものはビーチボールくらいあったかもしれません」と語っている。
