　この2人の姿は、エイヴァちゃんの家族だけでなく近所の人たちの目にも留まっており、パンデミックの最中であろうが、どんな天気であろうが、快活に郵便物を届けに来てくれるサイモンさんの姿に元気づけられたようだ。

　エイヴァちゃんの父デイヴィッドさんは、2年以上も娘との交流を大切にしてくれているサイモンさんに感謝しており、「彼は素晴らしい郵便配達員」と話している。
